Experiences received from Liturgy commission

First and foremost, we feel extremely happy to have spent three days at Fathimapuram. We express our sincere thanks to Fr. Rector for having arranged three days of recollection.

The first day was very useful. For, Fr.S.Arulsamy took class for us to make to understand the real meaning and importance of Liturgy. He said in his talk that Liturgy is the primary action which must be done very properly, with due respect. He helped us to understand and become aware of the practical nuances of Liturgy. He explained the meaning of readings , bowing before the Eucharist and he explained how to celebrate the sacraments in sacerd way.

During the second day, we were asked to organize programmes and competitions at school. Childern were very happy about the way we conducted the progrmmes and competitions. They enjoyed well. In the evening, we went to one of the substations where we had Eucharistc celebration with childern and the old with their full participation. We could feel and realize the challenges and struggles that lie on working for the people of mission station.

Having guided by fr.Kennedy the Parish Priest, we spent the thrid day to get experienced from the Woman’s movement and Women self assisting group run by DMI sisters at Vadakkalur.DMI sisters were very helpful to know more about the social work of the place. Fr. kennedy, the parish priest of Fathimapuram, was very helpful and his help and his guidence was really remarkable.
